I dropped off a car at this location. I was instructed to leave the keys in the car, so I did. I dropped it off on Saturday night and called on Monday to make sure they had the vehicle. The gal that answered the phone was really put out that I didn't use the drop box, she was very rude and said she was going to check and get back with me. She never did, her customer service skills left much to be desired, I called the Burlington office and the manager there helped me way beyond his duty, I am grateful. Here is the kicker, I parked the car at the front of the store, the closest parking spot. They told the manager from Burlington they looked in the WHOLE lot and couldn't find the vehicle. When told where it was, they found it immediately. Definitely not going to that facility again.
The staff have been rude when answering the phones (if they answer, I was hung up on twice after sitting on hold) or answering questions, and simple accommodations such as requests for cars that don't smell like cigarettes are met with attitude and snark.
It's very disappointing that this location's service has declined so drastically. I am no longer comfortable providing patronage for my corporate company or my personal rental car needs from Enterprise Rent-a-Car in Iowa City.
Clean well maintained car for a reasonable price, I booked a full size car and because it wasn't available at the pick up time they gave me a luxury amazing car for the same price. They hire very nice people in the costumer service, they were very fast, I got the car in 3 min only.
Cars have been dirty to the extent of having grease on the steering wheel, crumbs in the cup holders and on the seats, and food wrappers left in the car from the previous renters.
This location used to be fantastic. The service was top notch and the cars were always clean and ready when I would pick up. Recently the long time manager relocated to another Enterprise location and since his departure the service has declined considerably.
The overall process of renting went smoothly and the staff in Coralville is very professional. I like the idea of knowing my entire costs, which include any taxes, etc. I don't really understand why it's more difficult to rent a car when a Debit card is involved, but I suspect you have your reasoning. The car was new and enjoyable to drive, although it hadn't been cleaned properly (on the inside). Juice bottles and other wrappers were found. Overall a good experience.
Usually good service. Sometimes they don't have staff to pick renters up, but they offer to reimburse a taxi/Uber/Lyft (but then never ask if you did that, and I've always forgotten.) They have a good selection of cars and I've never had any issues with any cars I've rented from them. They have a convenient 24 hour key drop off so you can return your car at any time if needed!
