Worst rental experience ever. They rented me a truck that was totally beat up inside and out then the litigate would not hold any weight so I had to rent alternate equipment from a different company. I looked on my credit card statement and was charged 3 times the agreed amount. Total scam. DO NOT GO HERE.
If you've dealt with truck rental companies, then you know that none of them are perfect and any one has the ability to drop the ball on a reservation. Barbara and her team are a really nice group of people who will do their best to treat you right.
Made a reservation online, then 5 days later was called and told my "confirmed reservation" was not going to be honored. Sounds like the budget website does not check with the rental site inventory before offering a rental/sending out the confirmation email. Not cool. The guy nicely told me the bad news, but clearly this is a customer service failure by the larger company.
We reserved a truck (and received a confirmation) a month in advance in anticipation of a busy moving season. One day before we were supposed to pick up our truck, someone from Budget called and said that they would not have a truck for us. ONE DAY! They offered no solution and simply gave us a customer service number, which was equally useless. This incurred almost $100 extra expenses on our part as we had to rent a truck--from another company this time--from another city almost 50 miles away. We will NEVER rent from Budget again. If we could give a negative star, we would.
They are real friendly and have great prices.
