Now having experience with having my children in other daycares, I feel confident that my following comments will not be skewed in any way and are from parents who are well versed when it comes to what makes a great -vs- ok daycare.
To sum up, we miss Kiddie Konnection and wish we could have transplanted Debbie and her entire staff to our new home hundreds of miles away. If you get the chance of having your young children attend this daycare facility, do not let this pass by. I highly recommend Kiddie Konnection to any family without hesitation.
I worked at Kiddie Konnection and have worked in other centers in other cities. Kiddie Konnection feels like home and Debbie, the owner, is an excellent person to help first time families navigate the world of having a child. It was a great place to work, and the only place I want to send my kids!
The owner Debbie denied a mother her rights to change the paperwork for her contacts of who to pick up and drop off her girls. The mother told Debbie she didnt want a certain person to havr contact with her girls anymore because her girls were in danger to that person and the owner Debbie told her NO and that she wouldnt do that because she was peraonally friends with the person on the list and didnt wanna b in the middle . Thats against the law to hand off anyones children to a person the parent no longer allows children around bit Debbie thinks shr gets to make thise decisions for the parents. I threatened to get police involved and she started raising her tone.i have since helped my friend remove her kids from that childcare and we have made reports on the owner. This is SO wrong on ALL levels. Super unprofessional and clearly against the law.
Kiddie Konnection has been the BEST place for our children by far. The teachers love being there with our kids and actually teach throughout the day. The other daycares I have experience with it seem the teachers are there because they have to be and my daughter (3.5 yrs old now) has yet to come home and tell me anything she learned at school. With Kiddie Konnection, she was always teaching us songs and was excited to tell us about the books she read and what she was learning.
