I can't believe how rude the manager is. They gave me a diagnosis on my car, I took it for a second opinion to another Mecanic turns out what they said was not the issues my car was having. Not only were they going to charge me si much but they weren't even going to fix my car they wanted me to keep coming to charge me more. How is this great service when you rely on an honest person to give you correct information to fix your car.
The people at Car-X have helped me out multiple times. Not only are they quick and efficient, but they are incredibly friendly and explain complex car issues very well. The customer service I've experienced has been enough to guarantee that I'll be back. Andrew is fantastic.
Told me to buy a new car. Kinda ticked me off but I let it slide. Gave me a $600 estimate to replace a fuel line on top of the fuel tank in my 1993 Accord. Also told me that the car could "blow up" from the fuel leak. Yeah it could... but it beats $600 for no more than dropping the tank and replacing the $134.99 line they were going to charge me $300 for. I did it myself. Took an afternoon. While at it I put in a new tank, straps, fuel pump and OEM fuel line, spent less than $300. 4 stars because they gave me a discount on mounting and balancing with an alignment and informed me that I needed a lower ball joint which I was unaware of.
I have had nothing but excellent help from these people in the Iowa city car-x business and am very happy with the immediate service thank you.
