Tuffy did a great job all the way around. They were willingness to price-match the competitor is initially what drew me in, but their willingness to go above and beyond by beating the competitor's price is what will keep me coming back. The place is not same. I no longer refer people here and will not take any more of my vehicles here; its' a shame to lose long time customers this way. Customers be ware, please read before you sign once work is complete as they do not always explain what you need or omit things that you should know to make the best decision for your self. It is literally about the amount of quick cash flow they can get for the day in sales without regard to customer. Thankfully I found a new home and will pass the word along.
As long as lived in this area (over 15 yrs), this was one of the best places to take your vehicle to get honest mechanics along with manager(Ernie has moved on/retired) that would reach out to you and took your concerns in consideration. Don't even remember when a mechanic personally explain what diagnosed(didn't use to be this way).
They have the best service with honest people who do their best to keep you safe on the road. Everytime I take my car there it gets gets a complete inspection and they tell you what they find wrong. Only once did my car have to stay there over night but it was finished the next morning. We have had pretty my h the same mechanic work on all our vehicles and he's always letting me take a look at what he sees as an issue and always explaining it in terms I understand. Kudos to the Tuffy crew!!!!
I have been doing business with Tuffy's in Iowa City for almost 2 years. Matt is the best mechanic I have ever worked with. Matt fixes my car as if it was his own. My job keeps me on the road weekly. Knowing Matt is taking care of my car gives me 100% peace of mind. New manager Luke - Looks like he is fitting in just fine.
I would recommend Tuffy in one hundred percent!!! Craig is a nice and honest person. And my car was fixed very well. Honest people! Great environment! Excellent experience!
