Honestly one of the worst experiences that I have ever had with a doctor. I found that he was manipulative, condescending, and not very good at listening to me. I provided actual documentation confirming my ADHD diagnosis and he chose to ignore it (since he presumes himself to be smarter) and pushed an anti-anxiety medication on me (for the second time). After expressing that I struggle with anxiety but would prefer not to be on zoloft, the man stoop up, held the door open, and made it loud and clear that I can "go to a different doctor" because he "wasn't going to waste anymore of my time." If I could rate zero stars..I would. Thanks for the help!

I hated seeing Dr. Natvig when I went to him through the University of Iowa about two years ago. He doesn't listen to his patients and is more concerned with making bad jokes and doing all the talking than being a helpful and professional doctor. Then two days ago, I found out from one of my friends that sees him through the university that he advised her to stop taking her antidepressants pretty much cold turkey-- she ended up in the mental health unit of the nearest hospital for extreme depression and suicidal thoughts about three weeks later. What qualified doctor tells a patient to go off their medication within two days? That's a recipe for having a breakdown. I have no medical training, but even I know you're supposed to slowly go off antidepressants to avoid any serious/rapid downfalls into worse depression and suicidal thoughts. His malpractice could've cost my friend her life.
