Charged me $400 to tell me my appliance was broken, and that I needed a new one. What a scam.
Oehl came out and the lady on the phone told me it was going to be 150 roughly to have them come out after hours. Come to find out its $300+!
I used Oehl Plumbing to purchase a silent check valve for my sump pump. The tech arrived and had no knowledge of what silent check valve's had good performance reviews. Luckily, I had researched on Amazon. I showed him the part on Amazon and he said that he could come back to install it. When he came back to install it, he was very rude and I called the owner. The owner was polite on the phone and said he would charge half off of the service call. When I received the bill, I was charged for 1.5 hours for the first time he (tech) came - as in the time when I had him read the amazon review. He (tech) was not here for more than 45 minutes tops. There was half off of the second service call like the owner said. Long story short - $180 for two visits over a check valve. On the bright side, the part did work like the Amazon reviews stated. $30 check valve and $180 labor.
The guys seemed to do an ok job when they got here until a day later my heat is out again! Oh and used things in my house like my horses water buckets that were down stairs in storage to buy gross water and sludge in.....
I will NEVER use Oehl again! They are price gougers! Charges and double chargers galore. They did work I never even asked to be done and charged ridiculous prices for it. Things I could have done myself for 1/4 of the cost they did without me even asking to have it done. I am telling all my fellow landlords to never use them. There are so many other respectable plumbers in this area to call. I learned the hard way. Hopefully, by reading this, some of you won't make the same mistake I did.
