Was a very pleasant experience. Great food at their Vue restaurant on the 12th floor. Very kind service staff.
We hosted our Company Christmas party at Hilton Garden Inn Iowa City Downtown University and it was spectacular. The ballroom was beautifully decorated and the food was great! We ended our evening up on the rooftop at the Vue. We had a great time and look forward to attending future events at the hotel and Vue Rooftop.
Very nice clean rooms with comfortable beds and if you’re up high a nice view of the city. Nice lobby. And the staff was great too. The hotel has a problem with noise, you can hear other people’s conversations in other rooms through the vents in the rooms. This kept us up late, but the staff helped us out right away when we told them.
Very good place to visit for travelers, tourist,and a good place for family stays. Great location for site seeing around the heart of downtown Iowa city university.
The sliding bathroom doors are nice, except they don’t allow for much privacy in the bathroom. Parking was almost a hassle with the exit gate not letting us out right away.
Right next door to a Zombie Burger!! I’m not sure if I need to say more......but I will. It is right next door to a Starbucks. Also, this place is brand new (Well at least it was at the time of me writing this review). They have plug ins everywhere!!! Parking is easy in the big ol’ garage (it does cost though). Anyway, if you are like me and you enjoy places that are awesome then this will be a great time for you.
Overall a pretty good hotel, and we’ll probably stay again the next time we’re in Iowa City.
