This is my first experience with chiropractic care, so my frame of reference is limited, however I love that Dr. Jess and Dr. Jake are whole-body wellness practitioners and am very impressed with the both of them so far.

I’ve been to other “Chiropractor’s “ who adjust you and make another appointment. At Black and Gold it is more about rehabilitation and retraining my body to support and heal itself.

I left their office feeling like I was being shamed into spending thousands of dollars I didn't have when she herself acknowledged that other people in town would accept my insurance with a $10 copay. Super, super unprofessional. This is why chiropractors get a bad rap for being duplicitous. When someone asks you directly and politely about insurance, answer candidly like any other respectable medical professional would. Don't drag them through a two-day sales pitch.

Absolutely Fantastic place and staff. I would recommend Black and Gold to anyone!! I came to them three months ago with a very bad sciatic nerve issue and they fixed it in four sessions and straightened out my spine and posture with stretching and adjustments and the results were amazing !! Thank you

I tell her that's not possible--it's four months' rent, and I make very little money as a graduate student. She tells me they accept credit, and I say that's not an option for me right now. She replies (seriously), "So this isn't really a priority for you right now?" No, rent and food are a priority. Hence why I politely asked about my insurance coverage from the very first moment I called. Instead of being rude, I thank her for the time, but say I'd rather find someone in town who accepts my insurance, to which she responds that other people in town won't be able to do as good a job as she would.

From the moment I called, I said that I was a student on a very tight budget. Literally my first question--before even asking for an appointment--was whether or not they would accept my insurance. The receptionist told me, "We have patients who have that insurance! We'll go over the details in person during the free consultation. Why don't you come in tomorrow." Alright, sounds good. I go in, everyone is super nice. I ask again--first thing--about my insurance, what the rate is, etc., and they tell me not to worry about it right now. They do a bunch of x-rays and other tests and tell me to come back two days later. When I do, I ask again about insurance. The doctor told me we'd talk about that last. She proceeds to tell me everything that's wrong with my spine, shows me my x-rays, and asks me about my schedule, since we'll need to meet three times a week. Once again, I tell her I'm more worried about money than anything else. She puts it off again, and goes on for another several minutes about what a difference she'll be able to make if she treats me. Finally she says, "Well, you have an HMO plan, and we don't accept that. You'll have to pay several thousand out of pocket."

I give the B&G team 10 stars!!

Amazing and knowledgeable staff! I’ve been dealing with chronic back pain for 20 years surviving on pain medication and spending weeks in recovery between sever bouts of not being able to walk. In just over a month I’ve reduced my pain medication and I’m walking taller and my balance is coming back.

I feel bad writing this review, but I felt really, really led-on and annoyed by these guys, and I hope they stop doing this to people.

I highly recommend Black and Gold Chiropractic for any chiropractic needs you may have. This was my first experience with a chiropractor that took a thorough examination prior to beginning adjustments. I have had great results. I trust Dr. Jess and Dr. Jake because they listen to my concerns, and help me through new ailments as they come develop.

For the first time in many years I have hope for a more normal life!
